What Is The Newest Samsung Galaxy S

Samsung just unveiled its latest flagship smartphones: the Galaxy S24 series. Pre-orders are open now, with devices hitting shelves January 31st.
The new lineup, consisting of the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, promises a leap in AI integration and enhanced hardware.
What's New: At a Glance
The Galaxy S24 series centers around Galaxy AI, an on-device artificial intelligence suite.
This AI powers features like live translation during calls, improved photo editing, and smarter search functionalities. It's a major selling point.
The AI also enhances the camera capabilities across all three models.
The Models: Key Differences
The Galaxy S24 features a 6.1-inch FHD+ display and starts at $799.99.
The S24+ boasts a larger 6.6-inch QHD+ display and begins at $999.99.
Both models share similar design language and internal specifications, differing mainly in size and battery capacity. Color options include Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet, and Amber Yellow.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the premium offering with a 6.8-inch QHD+ display and a built-in S Pen. Pricing starts at $1299.99.
It features a titanium frame for increased durability and an improved camera system. Exclusive color options include Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow.
The Ultra has Corning Gorilla Armor glass, providing even greater scratch and drop resistance.
Camera Improvements
All three phones receive upgrades to their camera systems. However, the S24 Ultra gets the most significant enhancement.
It boasts a 200MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a new 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
This new telephoto lens replaces the 10x zoom lens of previous generations, promising improved image quality at various zoom levels. Nightography capabilities are also enhanced thanks to the AI.
Processor and Performance
Depending on the region, the Galaxy S24 series will be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy or the Exynos 2400 processor.
Both processors are designed for enhanced performance and efficiency. Expect smooth multitasking and gaming.
The Snapdragon version is widely available in US and other select regions. The Exynos chip will be featured in EMEA and other markets.
Software and Updates
The Galaxy S24 lineup ships with Android 14 and Samsung's One UI 6.1.
Samsung is promising seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
This long-term support ensures users will receive the latest features and security patches for an extended period.
Battery Life
The S24 has a 4,000mAh battery, the S24+ gets a 4,700mAh battery, and the S24 Ultra comes with a 5,000mAh battery.
Charging speed varies from 25W on the S24 to 45W on the S24+ and S24 Ultra. All three support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
